How we cover Penrith
Penrith sits at the north-western edge of the area we cover, where the A66 meets the M6. It's around twelve miles from our base as the crow flies, and usually about 25 minutes' drive. Our daily rounds stay closer to Appleby, so in Penrith we plan visits in blocks: an hour or more in the morning, or regular visits on set days, so our carers can get to you reliably and stay for the whole visit.
We'll always tell you honestly what we can cover before anything starts. If the times you need don't fit, we'll say so, and point you to other good local services.
Villages between Penrith and Appleby
Most of the villages along the A66 corridor are much closer to us than Penrith itself, and many are on our daily rounds:
- On our daily rounds: Temple Sowerby, Kirkby Thore, Morland, Kings Meaburn, Milburn and Newbiggin.
- By arrangement: Penrith, Eamont Bridge, Clifton, Culgaith and Langwathby.

Coming home to Penrith from hospital
